SRCS to Resume School Monday, 9/18

Please be advised we plan to resume school at SRCS on Monday, 9/18.    Preschool and Elementary Curriculum Night scheduled for Monday evening has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
We pray the school families and staff currently stranded in other parts of the country will be able to return safely to South Florida in the days to come.   We also hope power will be restored for everyone very soon.
Please stay safe.   We are praying we can all return to some normalcy on the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. However, we will keep an eye on the current challenges and will reassess the start date later this week.  If there is a change, we will alert our families and staff.

Spiritual Life

At Spanish River Christian School, we seek to prepare students to live a Christian life in a contemporary society.  We strive to develop a desire in children to study God's Word and to apply Scriptures to their daily lives.  Students attend daily Bible classes and weekly chapel services.   Faculty, church pastors, and special guests present biblically-based lessons at chapel, and students actively participate through heartfelt worship songs, biblically-based dramas, and scripture-inspired artwork.  Performances by our Middle School Worship Band, Chapel Choir, and Chorus enhance our praise and worship time on a regular basis.

Scripture Verse Theme for 2016-17

Growing Christian Leaders

Students have a wide variety of Christian leadership opportunities from classroom leadership positions in elementary school to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Junior Honor Society, study hall mentors, student assistants, and Student Council in middle school.

SRCS Middle School Participates in See You at the Pole Day

SRCS students and staff gather around the flagpole for prayer on September 25, 2013 in honor of "See You at the Pole" day.  It was a great turnout!  Over fifty middle school students showed up to pray under the direction and leadership of the middle school Bible teachers.

Missions & Community Outreach

Through missions, community service, student leadership initiatives, and chapel programs, SRCS graduates leave for high school with a Biblical worldview that allows them to continue to develop spiritually, socially, and academically.

Missions and community outreach opportunities include:

  • food drives
  • Operation Christmas Child
  • local missions trips
  • used school supplies drives

SRCS Middle School and Staff go Gleaning

On February 6, 2015, the entire Middle School spent several hours gleaning peppers in conjunction with C.R.O.S. Ministries.  The gleaned produce is donated to area Food Banks.  Students, staff, and parent volunteers worked for two hours, and filled over 300 boxes of green peppers.   Enjoy the thumbnail photos from the gleaning trip in 2015.  A short video of the gleaning field trip from 2014  is also available below:
